Greetings from Hong Kong!
To provide a service to my friends and some of the English speaking people who might drop in(?), I decides to practise my English and give a resume of my trip so far in Asia.
So if you wonder what I have been doing, please keep on reading.

First of all, it was quite a distance to travel from Drammen (Norway)to Hong Kong and it actually
took 24 hours before we arrived at our hotel. the time was about 2 o clock (local time), but in our mind it was 06.30. WE went to eat before watching the “Lightshow” in this beautiful city. As you might see on the video below it was quite a spectacular sight.
We then went to a quite interesting market with all sorts of things to buy, but since we, after all, had travelled for some time and had to ADAPT to our new time zone, we actually went to bed at 1700 hours (Norwegian Time). So if you are wondering ,we are about 7 hours ahead (and i am caching up you Iona, if you read this).
The second day proved at least as interesting as the first day, and our expectations were CERTAINLY NOT TOO exaggerated. The first post on the Agenda was the famous victory Peak WHICH HAD an incredible view over the whole city. We also had to take a quite funny tram to get on the top.
Another quite interesting attraction, was the famous Buddha, which is the biggest in the world, with its 22 metres high appearance. To get there was another issue which proved fascinating, especially the fact that we had to take a bus , where the driver tried to go as fast as he could in roads which are not suited for rally driving (minner litt om da jeg satt på med Bull ned oslofjordstunnelen). Furthermore the ride took about one hour , so we hadn’t UNFORTUNATELY too much time left to spend on the Buddha sight (but we got some great pictures;))

The last days were spent going to the Ocean Park, where they had all sorts of carousels and different animals, and also to some of the TEMPLES situated in Hong Kong. the Buddhist NUNNERY WAS especially interesting and beautiful with its lovely park and buildings. have to say that the Chinese were a bit more SOPHISTICATED than the Norwegian vikings (even though you shouldn’t underestimate the value of plundering the whole Europe).
So in the end Hong Kong is amazing, and its also Ridiculously clean. Impossible to find as much as a CIGARETTE on the streets (A reason for this might be that they have 5 people working as cleaners on every corner. 2 to do the job and 3 to supervise the whole thing). So if my education screws up, I guess I surely can find work here.
So we have now arrived at our destination in Shanghai. The first impression is that completely different from every other city I have been. They drive as hell everywhere and I really look forward to the rest of this journey. Will try to write some more summaries in English very soon.
